1. Open the Default Article Set window if it is not already open with the File > Open Default Article Table (⇧⌘O) command. Open an article in the Default Articles Set by double-clicking it or by selecting it clicking the Read (⌘R) button.
2. A newly-created Speed-Read Document window with the article is displayed:
3. Set the Speed-Read Mode Popup to Semi-Line. (The popup is set to "Multi-Line" in the example above.) Set the Speed Slider to about 350 words per minute.
4. Practice Speed-Reading: Click the Start Button and follow the highlighted (really non-blanked-out) text across the screen. Note that you can Pause and Resume. You can also adjust the Speed without stopping.
